Oh type, how I love thee. I would do this if I had the nails for it.

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
— Marilyn Monroe
Gratitude
“Let your gratefulness flow into all of the blessings around you and then you’ll know, it was a good day.” Absolutely. ♥
Break time!
I work long hours at my desk everyday. I have a stand up desk and use a drafting chair so that I can sit down too. This is perfect for getting the blood flowing. I dance and sometimes just do stretching and breathing exercises. This is the music of my childhood and brings back some fond memories.
Time to take a little trip in those boogie shoes. Sitting too long will kill you! Get up from your desk right now, slide that chair out of the way because, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing! – You know you want to. =)

These three songs are enough to get your energy level up. I posted the links because YouTube is fickle about allowing embedding.
Color Management
This was one of the first photoshop projects I did for school. (Horrible, I know!) The blue is much more vibrant on the original than it looks on the computer screen. Here is an excellent essay that explains Color Management on different devices.
Teach me with a song
I always found it easier to memorize anything that was put to music. I grew up listening to School House Rock and when it came time to memorize the preamble to the constitution for history class, it was a piece of cake because I knew the song. I also never forgot the function of a conjunction in a sentence and I know how a bill becomes a law. A lot of what I would consider boring, mundane and useless information that my mind spits out will become a savory, sensational lyric when blended with a musical twist. I can easily recall it.
Music and art are the flavor of knowledge. With anything digital, there are so many technical details that a person like me struggles to retain. In digital media the tech marries the artist, so to speak. I can remember facts when they are delivered in interesting ways. It widens the possibilities.
In this video, Deke, makes a song out of over 100 photoshop shortcuts in five minutes.
Relax
Wow! A friend of mine saw him perform years ago and let me listen to his cd. I found him on YouTube and just LOVE his voice. So just hit play, takes some deep relaxing breaths, close your eyes and get lost for a moment. You can get back to work soon.
New Online Magazine
Interesting online magazine with info on iphone apps. I also love reading the bios and checking out blogs of the writers. Do you do that?
Anyway, give this magazine a look, it’s pretty good. I’m adding it to my good reads list.

We do not need to “prove” ourselves to the world. There is no need to do, be, try or make anything unless it is authentically valuable to us. This is not selfish, it is self-realization. ~ Sacred Offerings

My girlfriend Dee joked that she has made her legendary chocolate biscuit cake so many times now that the ingredients could make it by themselves… We made this to promote Dee’s entry in Chef Factor, a great Irish Cookery Competition run by Cully & Sully. If you like this video, please help her get to the final by voting for Dee’s Legendary Chocolate Biscuit Cake here now: http://cheffactor.ie/content/competition-entries/dees-legendary-chocolate-biscuit-cake
A first attempt at stop-motion, and it took a full week to shoot and edit. Shot on a Canon 550D and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and a hell of a lot of coffee!
